Classroom Rules & Expectations
1. Listen when your teacher is talking.
2. Follow directions quickly.
3. Respect others, respect yourself, respect your school.
4. Raise your hand to speak or stand.
5. Be safe, be honest.
The students should be a 5 Star Listener which includes:
1. Eyes are watching.
2. Ears are listening.
3. Lips are closed.
4. Hands are still.
5. Feet are quiet.
There are also some Voice Levels guidelines in the classroom. These include:
0 – Silence is Golden – Absolute silence. No one is talking.
1 – Spy Talk – Whispering, only 1 person can hear you.
2 – Low Flow – Small group work, only the group can hear you.
3 – Formal Normal – Normal conversation voice.
4 – Loud Crowd – Presenting voice. Everyone can hear you.
5 – Out of Control – Playground voice, never used inside.
For the hallway, students should be in a “4S” Line, which means Silent, Still, Straight, and Smiling!
